At Life Springs Family Chiropractic, this week’s workshop focused on a powerful truth that many people have never heard before:
Your body stores emotions—and unresolved emotions can cause dysfunction.
We explored how emotions aren’t just feelings but physiological signals that can affect specific muscles, organs, and systems in the body. Using insights from Applied Kinesiology and neuro-emotional techniques, Dr. Josh showed how we can actually trace pain and dysfunction back to trapped emotional stress.
The 7 Foundational Emotions
These seven emotional needs are at the core of human health and healing:
Safety & Survival
Understanding & Growth
Connection, Love & Acceptance
Contribution & Creation
Esteem, Identity & Significance
Autonomy, Freedom & Justice
Self-Fulfillment, Transcendence & Spiritual Resonance
When these needs are unmet or overwhelmed, the body can carry that emotional stress in physical ways.
The Emotional-Muscle Connection
Each emotion corresponds to a specific organ—and each organ connects to specific muscles. When emotional trauma is unresolved, it can cause muscle weakness and physical dysfunction.
Examples shared in the workshop:
Grief affects the lungs, which weakens the deltoid and surrounding shoulder muscles—leading to chronic shoulder pain and even headaches.
Fear burdens the kidneys, impacting muscles like the psoas, iliacus, and upper trapezius—often causing low back pain or hip instability.
Anger overloads the liver, weakening the rhomboids and pectorals—leading to mid-back or shoulder pain.
This is why sometimes physical therapy or chiropractic alone doesn’t fully solve the problem—because the root cause is emotional.
Tools We Use for Deeper Healing
When emotional stress is the driver of dysfunction, we bring in powerful tools like:
Photobiomodulation (Laser Therapy) to reduce inflammation and stimulate healing.
Solfeggio frequencies and organ-specific frequencies (for the lungs, liver, kidneys, etc.) to stabilize emotional imprints in both the meridian and the muscle.
These therapies are incredibly effective for people who’ve tried everything else but still haven’t found lasting relief.
Real Hope for Real People
If you've dealt with:
Grief that won’t lift
Guilt or self-rejection
Chronic pain without a clear cause
Physical issues that keep coming back...
There is hope—and there is healing. Emotional healing is physical healing.
